- Submit a reply of the show cause notice , after narrating that due to joining in Hyderabad , you was out of the city , and enclose a proof of the same. 

- Since, you are working in Hyderabad, then you should also submit a letter from the employer., and if verification was done by your employer at the time of joining , then submit the same as well with your reply. 

In reply to show cause notice mention that your permanent address is Khammam 

that you were not available at said address as you are working at Hyderabad 

submit your registered rental agreement or any other documentary evidence 

Your presence is not required. Any of your family members can say that you stay there. Even passport can be collected by you from the post office if required

1. Contact the concerned police station and inform them that you were unable to remain present during verification as you were away at work and offer to remain present when they direct.
2. There is nothing to be worried about. It is a process. At the most the police can send a report stating you could not be verified. You can also visit the concerned police station and explain. 

Pl submit Notarized affidavit to authorities making them aware of the employer, office ,employment and your residence where you are employed with home town address and letter from your employer, Affidavit of your parents along with sarpanch of your village, Tehsildar of your tehsil or Dy Collector of your district specifically certifying your existence in that town. 

Annex all these documents along with your affidavit and address it RPO office and you would get through. 

1. Well your application is not rejected as yet.  You are only given a show cause. 

2. Si you still have an opportunity to prove your address by meeting the police in person. 

3. So without delay either go and meet or seek extension of time. 

If you have been served with a show cause notice by the passport department in this regard, you may give an explanation in writing narrating the facts in the explanation.

There is nothing wrong in giving the permanent address, however you could have given the current address too, because You were not available in the permanent address and moreover you have bee living in the current address for more than a year. 

Even now you can give an explanation  properly and request for re verification by police.

Your passport will be issued if you are available in the given address during police verification.

Firstly you should reply tot he said notice by explaining the situation in a apologist manner. Secondly, you should demand the copy/ list of the concern information. Remember to visit concerned RPO if an adverse report is already filed and get it closed permanently. Upon your request and a max penalty of rs 5000/- you can get it closed and apply again for fresh.

You have to visit to passport office and provide the details of your residential address so that the police verification can be done at the place where you you are living currently you may have to pay a penalty of rupees 500 for the change of police verification location.

You should have either made yourself available at the address mentioned by you as your permanent address in the passport application form or given the rental address where you are presently residing. There is no law which prevents a person from applying for passport by giving his rental address.

2. Reply to the show cause notice through your lawyer and say that you will now be available at the mentioned address for police verification.

You will have to respond to the SCN immediately since it is issued to you..however, in the meanwhile you should request somebody to visit the local police station and enquire which officer visited your place and speak to him and withdrawing the SCN if possible and explain that you do not reside on that address however it is your permanent address only..

You ca visit nearest Passport seva kendra office and provide your current address which should be registered leave n license agreement and your permanent address proof as well. Your problem will solve it.

if you have  still the address  at the the permanent address you gave in the application, can request passport office for re verification .Next verification time any relative or family member can give details that you reside there , it is not necessary that you in person have to give details.

visit the passport officer with the notice to get the re-verification issued. 

Please visit the office issued you the show cause notice because re-verification is required as they require at lease two persons as witness at the time of police verification so request to them to re-visit the place and get in touch with them.

Police only verifies, if you lives there. And if you were not present at that time, can verify from neighbors. You can write to RPO, that given address is your permanent address and you lives on rent in Hyderabad due to job. Attach your address proof.

You can reply that you were out of town on that day due to some work and request for police verification again. 

You should have given your temporary address of Hyderabad and permanent address of your hometown. Anyways now if you are living in Hyderabad permanently ie doing job then explain this to the authorities that you were confused as to whether to this address or that because you thought that it wouldn't reach Hyderabad. Explain to them the situation. It was a simple misunderstanding.
