The partition deed is required to be registered at  Jurisdictional SRO.

For registering purchase or sale land or registration of partition deed other immovable property, individual presence is not compulsory. Seller or buyer can give power of attorney to a third person for registration and this representative can do the registration formalities

1. Registration of a deed and its procedure during lock down depends on the system of the particular registration office.

In WB registration of all deeds is closed except on days in a week with prior permission but the same is done on offline and not on online.

An unregistered deed can be made through a memorandum of understanding, but the same can easily be disputed by the shareholders at a later stage, it’s always advisable to get partition through court.

1. If the Registration office is functioning with its full capacity including on line registration facility, then it is possible to register the Partition Deed online.

2. Before registration, file  the query sheet on line and get the property valued and amount of stamp duty and registration fee to be paid by you online confirmed by the Registration office.
