Firstly you have to file a application in the court with affidavit and produce your birth certificate and also state reason why you want to change your DOB. Court will pass the order if satisfy with your reply and proof. Then after you can change your DOB on matric certificate.

You can file an affidavit and try to get it corrected from matriculation record

Since the date entered is incorrect you will have to seek a declaration decree from the competent civil court and furnish details establishing your correct date of birth through affidavits or paper publication inviting objections and simultaneously you can write a representation to the concerned authority of your matriculation board, but since you are raising an issue after a lapse of considerable time be prepared to furnish sufficient cause as to why you did not initiate the process earlier.

All the best.

After 36 years your date of birth would not be changed in your school records without court orders

2) file writ petition in HC to direct Board change date of birth in your school records

You can change DOB as per medical records and get displayed in the Gazette, but on matric board certificate it won't be changed now.

1. After so long the board will not correct it.

2. You will have to file a suit for mandatory injunction against the education board to rectify the mistake.

The dob in same cannot be corrected now, if you have birth certificate and DOB in same is correct you can make an affidavit supporting correct dob and mentioning wrong DOB in certificate.

You cannot get the date of birth corrected in the matriculation certificate at this stage.

What were you doing all these 37 years about this and why do you want to correct the matriculation certificate at this belated stage becasue it may not serve any purpose even if you are permitted to correct it, though it cannot be permitted.
