• Forgery

I am a specialist doctor was employed in a corporate hospital. After a year I was asked to leave citing inability to pay my salary. After I left my signature was forged to get accreditation for an academic course and forwarded to national board of examination. Finally they got the accreditation. Having learnt that they got accreditation I wrote a letter to the national board of examination asking for details. They sent me an accreditation copy asking me whether this was my signature. I came to know that my signature was forged and replied back. Now having learnt about the forgery I want to lodge a complaint against the institution for misusing my signature and forging the document. I need legal counsel on how to proceed

Hello,

You may write a complaint and give the same to the police station. the police will then lodge the FIR.

Lodge the same against the owner of the institution.

An fir should be lodged for impersonation and forgery. If the police are reluctant then file a complaint before the magistrate and he will take cognizance of the matter and direct the police to investigate and will summon the accused parties.

1. yes, do not make any delay and file a case of forgery against them.

2. Along with it file a case for cheating as well.

3. At the same point of time apply for cancellation of its accreditation also and if that doe snot work then file a writ petition in high court. You would get justice.

Please lodge a written complaint with the police station having jurisdiction over the area where the institution is situated. You may also meet the Police Commissioner in person and hand him a copy of your complaint for necessary action.

Dear Sir,

You can go to the police and file a complaint against that Institution for forging your singature. Forging a signature is a crime. Then,if someone tries to hold you to the contract, you can share the complaint with them .If they still try to hold you to the contract, and they sue you, you will have to deal with the dispute over the signature.

Punishment for Forgery – Section 465 of Indian Penal Code: Whoever commits forgery shall be punished with imprisonment of either description for a term which may extend to two years or with fine or with both. ADVERTISEMENTS: Punishment for Forgery of record of Court or of public register etc.

1. You file a criminal complaint and then get the FIR registered for the offence of cheating and forgery under Sections 420, 468 and 471 IPC against the hospital and its management.

2. A civil suit for damages can also be filed by you to claim damages from the hospital.

3. First of all, send a representation to National Board of Examination to state that your signature has been forged.
