• Random text message

Recently I got a text message from VK-COURTS and it stated:

"Get information about your court case anytime, anywhere using 2 easy ways: 1 Download eCourts services mobile app 2. Visit eCourts portal: ecourts.gov.in"

I have never registered myself on eCourts website in any way and for that same reason, I believe I should not be getting any messages from them so I was wondering if someone is misusing my information or it is just a random text message.

Do I need to worry about it?

Thanks in advance

See its just a public information message received by everyone the government is just promoting the website so that citizens can be more aware if any case is going against or is filed by them, this doesn't concerns you this is just public awareness everyone is receiving them. So donot worry.

This seems like simply an ad msg promotional text msg. Nothing to worry about it. You may talk to your service provider to block such type of msg forwarding to you.

If you have not filed any court case nor have shared your message with anyone who may have used your number in the court case then it is a spam message and you can ignore this.

Various government authorities to raise awareness or to remove corruption is making online presence of each information among the citizens and there is nothing to be alarmed of this.

So either use this portal or ignore it. There is nothing to be worried about this.

Please note its just a normal message sent to all the concerned citizens for the services provided by courts and making it easy for knowing case status if you have any pending in any courts. You need not worry. Unless summons is issued against you by court.

You have to be a party to a case filed in the court to receive this message. The message is sent to only parties to a case.

Two chances:

1) Promotional message from Government.

2) Someone has mistakenly put your number on record.

Either of the case; no need to worry:)
