Hello,

No you will not face any adverse entry now. You may not mention anything about the same if the FIR was not registered and just the challan was paid.

You have not been arrested, and not charge sheeted and not imprisoned, which means to say drunker driving is not such a criminal offence.

Two clauses of Section 6 is worth reading for you:

(e) that the applicant has, at any time during the period of five years immediately preceding the date of his application, been convicted by a court in India for any offence involving moral turpitude and sentenced in respect thereof to imprisonment for not less than two years;

(f) that proceedings in respect of an offence alleged to have been committed by the applicant are pending before a criminal court in India;

Since your case does not belong to any of these conditions now, there will not be any problem.

Traffic challans does not constitute any offence. If there was an FIR against you by any police station and that brought you to the court you need to read the above mentioned two provision.

You was not punished with imprisonment and your case is no more pending hence most likely there will be no trouble.

Since it's a petty offence it won't be much hindrance for your passport yes it will be mandatory to disclose any pending case or case that you are discharged after paying fine while applying for passport. Petty offence will not be taken seriously while granting passport.

If the case is disposed off on payment of the penalty there is no trial pending or no imprisonment it wont effect your passport application.

This is my response to you:

1. Since you have pleaded guilty you are convicted of the same;

2. It is better you do mention that in the passport;

3. Also approach a local lawyer and show him/her the FIR filed against you.

Since this is a petty case, this will not reflect in the criminal records or history hence there wont be a problem for getting passport in this regard.
