Dear Querist

If you will fight the case then you may get an acquittal which will be beneficial for you in future, otherwise you will be consider a convicted person.

The ratio of conviction in Arms Act are very nominal so fighting will be better.

The main harm to you for plead guilty will be regarding your passport or visa if any.

In case of admission in arms act, you will be punished under section 25 of the arms act, 1959 from 3 years to 7 years with fine or both.

After conviction, your candidature will have stigma which may effect your carrier and personal life giving chance to others to use the same against you in future in any other cases.

Dear Sir

It’s not compoundable offence. Please do not plead guilty. You may be convicted and your future aspect may be compromised in terms of job and other aspects. Please judge and consult with your lawyer all the aspects and contest the case.

If it is illegal, possession without a valid license is unlawful and punishment is severe. If you plead guilty, punishment will also be severe. This can impact your future in a big way. So don't plead guilty at any cost.

If you plead guilty, you won't be able to get into any government services.

Getting into private sector would be really difficult too.

So, it's better if you defend yourself as conviction rate in Arms Act not that high, and there's a high chance that you'll get acquittal if you play your cards right.

If you have been charged with the offence under certain provisions of law which is punishable as per law, then your admission of the offence will fetch you the punishment as prescribed in the provisions of law under which you have been charged with.

As you might be knowing that whoever makes or attempts to make any use whatsoever or a firearm or an imitation firearm with intent to resist or prevent the lawful arrest or detention of himself or any other person shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years.

Its better to have a detailed discussion in this regard.
