• Losing original Aadhaar card

Sir/Madam,

I wanted to ask about about what my father can do as his original aadhaar card was sent by post after registration with UIDAI but due to my father's unavailability at that time it has got lost (probably the postman left it at the door but now its not traceable).

Should we report it to some authority or just forget it and print the same from online?

What if it is misused going into the wrong hands?

Kindly advise. Thank you

Hello,

Give NC to the nearest police station and then obtain a print out of the same.

Not need to worry.

In order to avoid any inconvenience just give NC to the nearest police station.

Be happy even you lost your adhar card you need not to be worried for loss.

The adhar may be down loaded from the site if the mobile no. is attached to the adhar no.

In case there is no mobile no. attached to the adhar the please visit any adhar center to link the mobile no and get a copy of AADHAAR down loaded by providing your biometrics.

1) Do not panic, if you have lost / misplaced your AADHAAR card. If you have the AADHAAR number and/or AADHAAR card acknowledgement slip that was given to you at the time of registration, you can download duplicate AADHAAR card copy online. The duplicate AADHAAR card has same validity as the original one. To download duplicate AADHAAR card copy online, click here: Download duplicate AADHAAR card copy online.

Or visit below site

2) other person will tell your name and address, not finger print verfication so no use of it.

The loss of adhar card should be reported at the jurisdictional police station this will save you from future liabilities of any misuse of your adhar card. You can also inform the UIDAI by enclosing the complaint through letter. Then you can print and use adhar copy from the website.

Report to the aadhar support centre that the aadhar has not been received. If they confirm that it has been despatched, then check for applying duplicate card. Aadhar card in wrong hands is not an issue.

Register a missing report with the Police so that you are protected/shielded in case this original missing Adhar card is misused in future. In some states in India, this can be done online.

Apply for a issuance of a duplicate adhar card.

You can login to the UIDAI website and request to reissue the card.

but first you may have to download the card online and submit the same to the UIDAI for issue of the card.

Firstly you should know that , when someone is having your Adhar number ,it cannot be misused as along as they don't have your finger print .

Aadhar card can be misused when someone keeps a copy of your finger print at the POS machine.

The fingerprint data in the Aadhar database is stored in an encrypted way.

Hence, no need to take tension , if your fathers Adhar card has been lost or untraceable , even some wrong hands having the same .

For your safety purpose , you should lodge a complaint /information to the police station ,where the said card has been lost and should keep the Receipt for record purpose.

For getting a duplicate one, you should send that receipt to the UIDAI office.

Or,you can download online.

Good Luck
