1. RTGS pay order should be processed in seconds. But, which kind of pay order you did?
2. Approach branch manager / GM with PO details.
3. Even after approaching the above officers, if money still not credited then raise complaint with branch. The complaint need to be resolved in maximum 7 days.
Dear Sir,
Sometimes due to technical clarifications, clearance of Pay Orders will be with held. My honest suggestion is to visit the bank in person and sort out the problem and see that bank people clear your Pay Order.
Write a letter to the BM of the Branch that the loan was sanctioned by the same bank and you are having account with the same bank in such circumstaces it hardly takes a couple of minutes to credit then how come this long. The letter should include the following points:
1. Loan sanction date.
2. Date of disbursement.
3. Amount of loan.
4. SB account number you have with the same bank.
5. date of deposit of the Pay order which is already a prepaid instrument.
Please mark a copy of that letter to the regional manager of the bank too and at the end write that you will be forced to file police compliant against the bank if not paid today for forgery.
Better to check with the bank for the reason of non clearance. If you find any inappropriate reason for non clearing the pay order then a complaint for this to be made to Banking Ombudsman in the city or move to the consumer commission for the losses due to delay.
Where I give complaint for inappropriate reason from bank, the same bank? Or consumer court?
First of all get your issue resolved instead of looking at legal aspects.
Once done, then sue them for deficiency and negligence under consumer protection law.
Meet the Branch Manager of the concerned Bank and apprise him with your grievance.
If required, tended him a written complaint calling upon him to do the needful at the earliest.
If the issue still remains unaddressed, send a legal notice to this Bank.
hi, first try and resolve the matter through discussion with the senior bank officials.. if nothing favorable is achieved you can file a complaint in the consumer court
1. Give a written complaint to the Branch Manager about non clearance of the PO despite lapse of 6 days.
2. If there is an emergency then pay through NEFT.
Hello,
for this you will first have to move a complaint before the banking ombudsman and then you can move to the consumer forum. Inappropriate reason will amount to unfair practice
What is the reply by the bank in this regard?
If there is no satisfactory reply you can ask the branch manager about this and if his explanation also is not satisfactory then you can approach the higher officer of the bank under which this branch falls.
Any legal action on this will delay your payment further more hence better try to solve the issue amicably.
If you still insist on the legal actions then you may issue a legal notice followed by the complaint agaisnt the bank with the local consumer forum..

You can exhaust the remedy available with the higher authority of the bank whose addresses would be found displayed in the notice board of the bank, after that you can plan to approach consumer forum.
