If you have a agrarian root then you can purchase agricultural land in Karnataka. you will have to produce adequate proof that your ancestors had agricultural land or hail from the farming community. Otherwise you cannot purchase agricultural land in Karnataka because you have exceeded the limit of 25 lakh per annum.

Yes, you can buy but subject to certain limitation put by every states.

Go through that while buying any land legally like how many acres you can buy.

It has been done to secure that no one can exercise the old rule of Zamindaari System.

Dear Client,

25 lac annually ?

Check at deputy commissioners in districts, they are empower to double the area of land that can be acquired by non-agriculturists for industrial, educational, religious, housing and horticulture purposes, might there be some exception on the ceiling of 25 lacs.

But possibility rare. Can try through Joint ownership.

If the annual income of a person or the family is more than 25 lakhs from the non agricultural sources then section 79A prohibits you from purchasing the land.

Additionally please check with a local advocate and registrar office if there is any exception to the same.

The maximum limit of income of family members of the same household is Rs. 25 Lakhs, you decide next course on this.

While only agriculturists / farmers can buy agricultural land in most states of India.

The Karnataka Land Reforms (Amendment) Bill, 2015, raises the annual income limit for acquiring land by persons not engaged in agriculture from the previous Rs 2 lakh to Rs 25 lakh.
