Mother's surname on passport
I am recently married. My wife has two children from an earlier marriage. She is applying for the passports of her children (my step children), who will continue to use their biological father's surname.
My question is what surname should appear for my wife in "Mother's name" section in the passport for my wife - my surname since we are now husband and wife, or her surname from the previous marriage, or her maiden surname?

I just want to clarify, my question is, what surname should be there for my wife in the children's passport , in the "mother's name" section of the passport.

Ok .. so she is planning to first update her own passport with her new surname (my surname) based on the marriage certificate, and then apply for the children's passports where she will put my surname in the "Mother's Name" section - will that be ok?
