Conversion back to Hinduism
Hi, I am a Christian Catholic. I recently got married to my girlfriend who was a Hindu. To please my parents she had to convert to Christianity. But she doesn't want to follow Christianity and wants to convert back to Hinduism. My query is what are the legal procedures to convert back to Hinduism.

We underwent a church wedding after converting to Christianity. But we haven't registered our marriage yet. Now she wants to convert back to Hinduism. What are the legal formalities? Do we get a legal document of her conversion back to Hinduism?

One who wants to convert to Hinduism can approach AryaSamaj), make a written application along with an affidavit stating that he/she is agreeing for the conversion based on his/her free will, along with proof of age and residence signed by the applicant along with 2 witnesses.
The Shuddhi Karma (purification ceremony) involves conducting a “havan ” involving chanting of certain Hymns from the Vedas by the applicant, as guided by a priest. It may take about one to one-and-a-half hours to complete the ceremony. After the purification ceremony, a Certificate of Conversion to Hinduism is issued to the applicant
Approach local arya samaj in this regard they would issue conversion certificate
She need to execute an affidavit of religious reconversion. Before doing so, she may go to the Arya Samaj Mandir and may get the shuddhi(purification) performed.

1. Unlike the Abrahmic religions there is no procedure to convert to Hinduism, a fact which has been recognized by the Supreme Court.
2. She can just claim that she is a Hindu, and mention her religion as Hindu. Nothing else is legally required to be done.
3. Her reconversion to Hinduism shall have no bearing on the validity of your marriage.
If she converta back to Hinduism then you marriage will become void.
She will not get any certificate for her conversion. A ceremony has to be performed in the arya samaj mandir.
It is advised that after her conversion you get you Marriage registered under the provisions of the special marriage act.

There is no legal procedure to convert herself into Hinduism, she can renounce Christianity and declare that she has reverted to Hinduism.
By approaching Arya Samaj Mandir Admin. Office and fill up their Form and they will perform a vedic purification ceremony Called “Shuddhi Karma and would provide a certificate that the person is Hindu after this.
This will be just a proof but there is no legal provisions for conversion to Hindu religion from any religion, however for a happy marriage, religion is not a big factor.
A declaration by an affidavit by the person who would like to reconvert to Hinduism shall be sufficient to prove that she embraced Hinduism and is a Hindu
