You must know the case number, date/year of filing, or date of filing of the case or date of disposal of the case to retrieve your case record. You can search for the order on the e-courts portal. If you provide the case number, any advocate can search for the order. If it is not available, any advocate can search for the order and obtain it for you.

Hello,

  1. It is the Decree of Divorce that you can obtain from the court. As you are unavailable you can either pay the required fee and ask your lawyer to apply for it or engage any other lawyer to apply for it on your behalf ( You will need to authorize the lawyer by signing on the Application form which may have to be couriered to you.
  2. Another option is to authorize another person, possibly a relative of yours by a Power of Attorney to apply for the certified copy on your behalf.

- If the divorce is already granted , it means that the court has passed the decree of divorce , and you have your right to obtain the same legally personally or through representative or lawyer.

- Since, you are abroad then you can given authority letter to any lawyer or relative to apply and to receive the original of the decree on your behalf.

- If the said decree is passed by the Delhi Court, then you can take my services for the same.

You can contact any other lawyer of the same town, give him a vakalatnama and ask him to apply for certified copy of the divorce decree by giving him the details of the case.

You don't have to obtain NOC from previous lawyer for this purpose.

I can guide you on the steps you can take to obtain an original divorce certificate.

Firstly, you need to determine which court issued the divorce decree. If you are unsure, you can check with your lawyer or the government agency responsible for maintaining court records in the relevant jurisdiction.

Once you have identified the court, you can reach out to them to request a certified copy of the divorce certificate. You may need to provide identification, proof of your connection to the divorce, and payment of any fees associated with the request.

If you are not in the country, you can appoint someone to act as your representative or hire an attorney to assist you with the process. Some courts may also allow for online applications for certified copies of divorce certificates.

It's important to note that the process of obtaining a certified copy of a divorce certificate may take time and may vary depending on the jurisdiction. Therefore, it's recommended that you consult with legal experts or officials from the relevant department for the correct procedure and guidance.
