Marriage between an Indian citizen and a citizen of Ukraine
I have a few questions about the marriage between an Indian citizen and a citizen of Ukraine.
1. First of all, what kind of visa do I need as the citizen of Ukraine to travel to India, meet my boyfriend and marry? I have heard that people marry on tourist visa and then convert it into entry visa after marriage. However, I have read on the official website of the Embassy of India of Ukraine that tourist visa is not convertible into anything. So what type of visa do I need to stay with my husband in India after marriage?
2. I realize that my documents (birth certificate, passport, etc.) issued in the Ukrainian language have to be translated into English and notarized. But is it necessary to stamp apostilles on the documents?
3. Lastly, there is the so-called non-objection certificate. I have contacted the Ukrainian Consulate in India and they have suggested me the way to get it, but it is costly and a little difficult because that would require us to travel to another city. Can I obtain an affidavit confirming my single status from the local notary in Ukraine instead of that one obtained from the Consulate? Or it is mandatory to obtain this affidavit from the Ukrainian Consulate in India and that’s the only way?
Thank you so much in advance.

Thank you so much for the answers, dear attorneys. I appreciate your answers and find them very helpful. One more question is, what kind of passport should I use? I have an internal Ukrainian passport and a biometric Ukrainian passport for traveling abroad. Thanks.
