. PAN/TAN correction will be allowed only when the name in the challan matches with the name as per the new PAN/TAN.

1. IF photocopy of PAN is annexed with the registered document, THEN there is no legal issues in the same and you will be entitled to claim LTCG on this basis, PROVIDED you have reflected the property in your ITR in proper way.

2. WHENEVER you sell in future, just annex an affidavit (100/- stamp paper) alongwith the then Sale Deed stating your proper Name, Address, PAN & Aadhar card no. by annexing photocopies of the same.

Yes you should raise this issue with the registrar and correct the pan no as it the deed will also carry the pan no. Which will be tallied during registration.

- Mentioning the wrong PAN number in any document is an offence and can be fined .

- However if you will mention in your income tax return , then there may impact , otherwise no need of worry.

Request to correct the pan no. No impact on your title but not correcting PAN may put you in trouble.

Hello,

  1. You need to get the challan rectified as there is tax implication and you will not be able to successfully prove the transaction without the pan number matching.
  2. It will have implications obviously in the future transactions as at the time of registration of the sale agreement, the mismatch in the stamp duty payment certificate will fail to prove that you paid the stamp duty.

Hi

1) There are 2 elements

a) i.e challan identification number issued by bank

and

b) Government registration number issued by Sub-Registrar office

2) Since there is a wrong PAN Number entered in challan, you should approach the Bank where you paid the challan and submit a request for rectification of PAN in the Challan.

3) The bank will acknowledge the request and will provide you a customer request number.

4) Once the defect is rectified in the challan by the bank,  you will need to then approach the sub-registrar office for rectification of  Government Registration Number.

5) Thereafter , the District Registrar will issue a letter which says your request for amendment of PAN is complied.

Once you complete the above, there will be no further implication from Income Tax Department or from Department of Registration and Stamps , Government of Telangana.

Hope this information is useful.

You may approach sub- registrar office for corrections of pan no to avoid any further future troubles in ITR or Sale of the flat to third party.

Its simple and easy to accomplish and possible to do it.

Mentioning the wrong PAN in the challan is not a grave mistake because the PAN is not going to come into the picture.

If there is an error in the registered sale deed then you can think about executing a rectification deed.
