Merely stating that you have mental problem doesn't make you mental patient. It was said like a joke and court will consider the intention behind the message.
You can ask court to order medical test about what true or not.
Dear Sir, I have sent a legal notice to my boyfriend. I was in live relationship with him for 4 years. Suddenly he dont want to be in this any more and he want to marry another girl. I have proofs . First i have sent legal notice. But He has one proof against me. Four years back i have sent some fb messages , saying that I have some mental problems. In college i went to kill one person using knife. Those were jokes. Even after some days when we meet i told him also. And after that we had been together very happily. Now he is blackmailing me with those messages. He was telling i had mental problems. So he left me. So in this case, if he tell these things to the court so can i tell court to send me for medical tests.Because through medical test all will come to know, am i mad or not.Kindly assist me.

See if your boyfriend has promised you of marriage and took consent for physical relationship on false promises of marriage then you can file a police complaint against him , he can be charged of Rape as he obtained consent on false promise of marriage.
Also see you can file case but cannot force him to stay with you or marry you.
As far as old text messages are concerned after that you both have stayed together so they can be disputed.
You can lodge an criminal FIR for physical relation on false pretext of marriage.. go to concerned police station and lodge an FIR against him as per law.
You can get your self tested in govt hospital to prove that you are mentally fit
2) if your boy friend tries to use these messages mention that you are now mentally fit and in college you did have done health issues
3) file case of rape against your boy friend if he refuses to marry you inspite of having live on relationship for 4 years
4) I presume you had sex with him under promise of marriage
1. There was no occasion for you to send a legal notice to you as your bf has not done anything illegal. Law does not make abruptly ending a live in relationship a civil wrong, much less an offence. Anyone who is in a live in relationship is free to call it off at anytime without assigning any reason.
2. If and only if during the subsistence of live in relationship both of you held yourself out to the society as a couple then you can sue him for maintenance, but beyond this no liability can be fastened to him.
3. The messages mentioned by you do not go against you.
Law can not force your boy friend to marry you.
Emotion love and other mental feelings to other are not enforceable by law.
Stop doing all such efforts. You will not get any result.
Those messages were send 4 years back and after that you were in a long live in. Can file FIR of rape that on the pretext of marriage he made physical relation with you.

Hello
You should send a written communication to him that all those messages were out of fun and that you were not serious. Say that has you been having some mental problem then the said person would not have been in a relationship with you.
Also, please tell me do you want him to be punished?
Regards
1. What is your demand mentioned in the legal notice sent by you?
2. You are not married to him for which you can not be considered as his wife.
3. No Court can force him to stay with you if he does not wish to.
4. You can lodge police complaint alleging domestic violence since both of you lived together.
5. In live in relationship, any partner is free to leave for which he need not cite the fb message as evidence of your mental problem as the cause for his parting ways.
The message with he threatens you is not an evidence admissible as primary evidence in court of law.
Hence don't worry about this.
You can proceed as per your proposal.
Yes, court may appoint medical experts to check whether you're mad or not. And on there medical certificate base order will be passed.
If you think you don't have any problem than you can win the case and teach a lesson to your boyfriend.
