Yes,  you can file defamation case against her for raising false allegations against you in public. 

Yes you can send her a notice for defamation and demand an apology. If not given you can file both defamation civil and criminal case

Serve her with a legal notice, calling upon her to forthwith stop indulging in this act of defaming you. - You should lodge your complaint against that woman , after narrating that she willfully is trying to tarnish your image and due to her continued harassment , you are facing threatening for your life.

- If no response, then you should approach higher police official as well.

In order to sue for defamation of character, it's not enough that somebody express or publish a defamatory statement. There must also be real damage caused by the statement. The statement must be published (meaning some third party must have heard it), false, and it must result in harm, usually to the reputation.

See if she is publicly defaming you and proof of same is available you can file a complaint of defamation shaks t her directly with magistrate and suit for defamation claiming damages against her.

You may file a suit for permanent injunction in the competent civil court to restrain her from coming to your house, defaming you and communicating with you in any manner.

a criminal complaint for defamation must be filed in the district court immediately against such an illegal act and compensation must be demanded.

You can lodge a criminal complaint against her for the nuisance she is doing to you besides, you can even file a private criminal complaint under section 500 IPC for defamation.
