• Airline- Delayed baggage claim refused by airline

I travelled by Thai Airways flight TG 325 from Bangkok to Bengaluru. Checked in baggage was not loaded in the same flight. I filed the property irregularity report . The bag was delivered after 4 days, at Kochi airport. ( I am from Kochi ).
I spent around 16000 INR for buying necessary items and around 5000 Rs as travel taxi fare to collect the bags. I submitted the claim, however airline replied that they reimburse only to non residents , However as a good gesture, they sanctioned 100 USD.

I referred their terms and conditions of carriage and could not find any non residents clause. Pls advise how to raise a complaint and further up. I asked them for the contact details of appellate authority for complaints, however did not reply.

1. If there is no cause giving exemptions to them from lost baggage then they can not deny you compensation on the ground of resident status.

2. So it being a case clear case of deficiency and the Thai Airlines having its office in India you can file a case for compensation, damages and recovery of your expenses in the consumer forum.

Firstly send them a notice stating the deficiency in services committed by them and seek for damages if they fail you can lodge a civil suit for recovery of damages against the airlines. Since they have replied to you which means they have acknowledged the fault committed by them you can lodge a civil suit also a consumer complaint.
