Install metal door in front door against association rule
Sobha dream acres In our society it is not allowed to put metal door in front gate as it is against bye laws of association. Being a single women and staying alone in my flat, I'm concerned about my safety. So can I Install metal gate on my front door. Is there any law that can allow me to do it in my flat and association does not create any issue later on. I want to bypass any such rule laid by association concerning my safety.

Already done discussion, plea rejected. They said it will destroy the asthetic value of the apartment block. Everybody is adhering to it, you also should do it. This is not a solution. Me being a single working woman would like to have additional security, don't I have the right to do anything to ensure my security.?

you don’t need association permission for installation of double door in your house
has the bye laws been accepted by registrar .?
You can on safety grounds install double door in your house
if society refuses file complaint before cooperative court against association decision
If at all there is a threat and society is not providing proper security and ever have you felt that your security is at stake then you may approach the registrar and challenge the said bye law
Association have no concern about the same. It's your personal door. They can't stop you from doing that
Also, there is no law which per se allows senior citizen to construct a metal door for security
I don't think that the extra metal gate should contradict any law or rule of state or society. Please read your by laws carefully. If it's mentioned there specifically that you cannot erect any extra gate in your premises then there may be some issue however since law doesn't stop you from it therefore you will be able to install your gate, provided it is not hurting the structure.
You have to read your society bylaws carefully. I don't think there will be any such restriction as it's strange objection from society people.

You must get issue a legal notice and file civil suit or approach the High Court to facilitate such facility under special circumstances.
Yes you can install a metal door it is in your premises not in the common area , see no such rule can be made as you can take steps to secure your premises, in case they raise objection it can be dealt legally.

The association cannot stop you from taking step for your security and installation of second door of your house as it Is for your personal safety.
If they reject your plea you can file a written complaint to society registrar or move to court for Mandatory Injunction against the society for allowing you to install metal gate.
