• Regarding transparency in the transfer policy in a bank

I am working in a public sector bank since 2015.My hometown is in Gorakhpur,UP and my first posting given was Hyderabad. I heard that maximum within 3 years they will transfer me back to my hometown as per the transfer policy+being a woman they will consider my request but 3 years 8 months are over..the transfer list is out and this time too they didn’t consider my request. Now since i have completed 3 years here,as per the policy we cannot be retained in the same branch. They asked the other local members from here about their preferences and didn’t ask me at all and are transferring me other branch of their choice!
Can i lodge a complaint regarding this?
If so,how can I take this to the court legally?

Dear client,

If it is mandatory in transfer rules to transfer after completion of 3 years of service, you can file Writ in HC.

And for nepotism and corruption in transfer policy , you are entitle to get transfer as per you choice.

Court is restrictive to interfere in transfer unless not find arbitrariness. If you have such proof, can approach HC.

Dear Queriest

You need to first make representation stating the same before the HR or Personnel Department of the Bank.

If the representation is dismissed, take a note of the reasons , then you may be able to succed a case in Court of Law.

Rest please contact me through Kaanon.

Complaints can be made directly to the Regional Manager or AGM of the centre, either in person or through email. Preferred mode is through official email id. Mark a copy to the DGM and to the concerned women helpline at Local Head Office level. Alternative is to use the staff grievances forum.

First you exhaust the remedy available within the organisation.

Make a representation in writing and send it to the competent authority seeking its intervention and to render justice to you in this regard.

Have you approached your union on this?

if not then you may approach your union and seek their action on this.

Since this is an internal matter of the organisation, you may find some portal to register your grievances, if you dont find one you may proceed as suggested.

  1. As per the information mentioned in the present query, makes it clear that your right to equality has been infringed by the bank.
  2. You should give a final representation to the bank to reconsider your case and allow you the transfer.
  3. If no positive reply from them then you should file a petition in CAT where all government service disputes taken care off.
  4. You would definitely get the justice as the bank has not complied with the rules as well as discrimination has been done to you despite of having a genuine case.
