It is not clear on what basis the UGC has invalidated the degree.

If the reason is not justified then you can challenge the notification to get declaration on validity of the degree.

To invalidate the degree the UGC has to follow certain norms and if those not followed then you can file writ petition challenging the same.

If you have a doubt regarding whether a degree is fake or not (a genuine doubt in India, at the moment), the RTI channel is very useful. Any Indian citizen can ask for information under RTI. Then file writ petition in highcourt against invalidation of degree by UGC.

You can file a writ petition in this regard to validate the degree since  there was no notification in this regard anytime earlier and the invalidation  of your degree has caused you immense agony as well as hardships both financially as well as physical.

You may consult a local advocate and file a writ petition before high court on the advise of the said advocate.

  1. As per the information mentioned in the present query, makes it clear that the state has taken arbitrary decision against the applicant.
  2. I would advice you to draft a legal representation and send the same to the concerned departments.
  3. Wait for few days, if no action or reply has come from the state then you may have to approach the the Hon’ble High Court by filing a Writ petition of Mandamus as well as certiorari in nature seeking relief as mentioned in the above query.
