You have to collect the marriage certificate personally from marriage registration office

Or you can Mention the address of corenspondance in your application for all the communication with you as well as permanent address.

And mention in the application that all mails should be send to corenspondance address.

The marriage registration in Chennai needs to follow certain regulations which require to follow a procedure specified by law.

The application of the marriage registration has to be submitted to the registrar’s office along with the relevant documents and wait for the notice period to get over and next procedure.

A notice period of one month is to be followed after application submitted and registration done. During this notice period, the notification of such application shall be published in two well-circulated newspaper, one in the local language and another in English.
