Dear sir
You can collect the marriage certificate by hand from the Department.
Or you can Mention the address of corenspondance in your application for all the communication with you as well as permanent address.
And mention in the application that all mails should be send to corenspondance address.
Dear Sir,
The marriage registration in Chennai needs to follow certain regulations which require to follow a procedure specified by law.
The application of the marriage registration has to be submitted to the registrar’s office along with the relevant documents and wait for the notice period to get over and next procedure.
A notice period of one month is to be followed after application submitted and registration done. During this notice period, the notification of such application shall be published in two well-circulated newspaper, one in the local language and another in English. For the Special Marriage Act, the notice period is for one week.
The necessity of such notice is for a purpose to stop if the parties violated any rule of marriage registration.
If any objection arises, then the matter shall be sorted out before the marriage gets registered. Anyhow, the objection based on caste, creed, economic status etc. are not considered to be valid, but the objections on the marital status or age of any of the parties are concerned upon.
In case any objection raises like the bride/groom is previously married to someone else, then the person gets a scope to object such a marriage registration.
If no objection arises, the registrar asks the parties to come along with their witnesses and attorney on a designated date. The registrar gets the parties and witnesses sign the marriage registration papers and get them attested.
After a few days, your certificate reaches your home via post, or to your attorney, which he/she will hand over to you.
Therefore you can contact the legal consultant to know the exact procedure of the marriage procedure.
You need to inform the said authority about change of address with proof of your new address. It will be delivered else you can collect the same in person
You can mention the address accordingly in the form and the same will be delivered there.
Address in the ID prove is your permanent address whereas your present address is your residential address.
Go ahead and apply for the same.
Regards
You should contact concern registration office and take personally marriage certificates from there.
If you want to register your marriage at new address then you may have to produce address proof of new address.
