• Mother's name in stead of Father's name in Educational certificates

I am a post graduate. I passed S.S.C.in 2005. Then, our school Principal mentioned my mother's name instead of my father's name in Nominal rolls as my father expired. Later, I got my mother's name at the column 'Father's name" in S.S.C.memo. I continued to mention my mother's name in all my further education certificates. Now, when I apply for a few exams online, my details in Aadhar card are getting uploaded and Aadhar card has my father's name in it. In certificate verifications for a few jobs, it is becoming a problem. What can I do now? I can not change the name in my educational certificates. Can I carry any notary to certificate verifications of government jobs? Can any gazette can be issued on this?

This discrepancy can be avoided by submitting affidavit. Get the one affidavit prepared and keep it with you, whenever you are questioned can submit that and make another copy (original) of same and don`t mention date till it not came into use. As should be executed in present date.

Or get the gazette notification issued from collector office that you are daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Than it`s copy will use every where.

Hello,

yes you can carry an affidavit with your self to this effect and disclose therein the reason as to why the name is not there and that the name as mentioned in the certificate and the other name is of one and the same person.

Login to AADHAAR card Online Self Service Update Portal using your Aadhaar number. Submit your AADHAAR card name change / correction / surname change request online. Scan and upload supporting self-attested Proof of Identity document (soft copy) for Aadhaar card name change / correction

2)  you can mention the relationship as S/o or D/o and mention your parents name. So you can mention your mother's name

You need to apply the same to gazette office with the form and requisite fee.  Them you need to do an notarised affidavit and then give publication in 2 local news papers one being in regional language

Father’s or Mother’s name in your Aadhaar Card can be updated by visiting nearest Aadhaar Kendra. For that you will need to submit acceptable documents along with duly filled application for correct your Aadhaar. On verification your Aadhaar details would get updated and it would take almost 2 - 3 weeks of time.

The first step in the legal procedure is affidavit submission.

NEWSPAPER PUBLICATION. If you have made the affidavit, the next step is to publish an advertisement/notification in the local newspaper.

Dear sir

It is not a big problem as You can just give the declaration for not naming father in the school certificates and get it attested by some gazetted officer.

You can very well get an affidavit duly notarised mentioning that the name of your mother i.e., so and so is mentioned ion the educations certificate in the column meant for father's name and your father's name is mentioned in the aadhar and other identity documents, all these are oversight and not intentional however they pertain to you.

You can carry this affidavit along with your certificates to clear any ambiguity arriving due to this at any place where your documents are verified.

You have to first get an affidavit prepared, duly notarised, get the same published in a local newspaper and after that you may approach the government press with an application seeking to publish the same in the next publication of the gazette by complying with the formalities meant for it.
