Sir file an application to RPO with an affidavit of correct DOB and birth certificate to correct dob in passport there is circular of ministry which clearly says that dob in passport should be as per birth certificate so RPO shall undertake change.
My real DOB is 7-3-96. In 2006 I had applied for a duplicate birth certificate from gram panchayat, I used it after 8 years and applied for a passport in 2014 April. There I came to know that The Dob written on it was 10-3-96. I had no option to proceed with the documents I had because in 2014 there was only one PSK in Thane and process was not as easy as it is today. After Accepting to make the passport on the incorrect Birth certificate I immediately went and applied for a corrected birth certificate in 2014. This time the gram panchayat was dissolved and Municipal corporation was set up. The certificate issued by them was corrected to 7-3-96. Now 2019 I want to make the correction to the passport as per the corrected certificate. No other document bears 10-3-96 date only the passport rest all documents read true 7-3-96. I visited the RPO office, the officer over there was willing to make changes but he demanded some document which he clearly didn't mention(he barely spoke few words). No assistance was further rendered by him. What should I do? I have no criminal records or anything conflicting it was the mistake while writing the documents.

Apply for correction in date of birth making an application to the RPO and after few days seek action taken report on your application through RTI, to fasten the process,
If remain unsolved you can move to the court for correction in passport making RPO as a party
You can make an application to the passport authorities to make the rectification based on correct dob with the said documents.
1) you would need court orders to direct RPO to issue passport with your actual date of birth as reflected in corrected birth certificate
Simply apply for a rectification of the passport details. The procedure is more or less same as applying for a new passport.Just apply for it, online and you will be called for a personal hearing along with the supporting documents and the old passport
Hello,
Since you were the one who gave the BC earlier, it will be little difficult to get the same rectified now.
You may go ahead and talk to the RPO and submit an application for correction of the DOB.
Recently the government has also said that Notably, if the passport holder applies for change of DOB within five years of the date of issue of passport, the request of such an applicant, irrespective of the difference in the DOB will only be considered if the applicant has birth certificate issued by registrar of birth and deaths.

Dear Sir,
An application for re-issue of passport in respect of change in personal particulars will have to be submitted for change in DOB.
But if you are holding current passport with validity and you are applying for changes in DOB than you will be fine a penalty of 5000.00 Rupees for it because you presented wrong showing DOB documents during previous passport issuance. If you have emergency than you can apply now but your application might stuck at RPO and they will cross-verify all DOB documents (Birth certificate/school leaving certificate) and send them to place of issue too. So it may take time up to 6 months approximately.
I advised you to wait till your passport expiry than you can apply for re-issue and also submitted for changes in DOB. If you follow this procedure than skip above steps and will get passport in normal time period.
The dob in the passport can be changed if the correction application was moved within a period of 5 years.also a penalty would be levied by the passport office.
Regards
You should take the corrected dob and move an application.
You apply for re-issue of passport with the correct date of birth by producing the the original date of birth in your possession now.
The passport authorities, if necessary may ask you to comply with further requirements which would be intimated to you in writing, so you can comply with the necessary conditions thereon accoridnlgy
