Signed blank paper with sign and thumb impression for home loan
Good morning
I am native Indian currently living in USA for job. During my India visit I purchased apartment and for the home loan I signed a blank paper with thumb impression as asked by LIC home loan agent to complete the Mortgage formalities on last day of my trip. The page was not dated or there wasn't anything written on it other than signature and thumb impression.
I am scared if that page has used for the loan purposes only and does not get misused. When I checked with LIC agent, I didn't get proper reply!!!
Can you please help me know what precautions can be taken now to avoid any future issues?
Thanks

Can you please provide exact wording I should use in the email to LIC, as this can be a legal proof to address any future issues? Also if we are not able to trace the letter, what precautions should I take? Are there any possible property disputes those might arise due to this? Can this paper be used to transfer my property on someones name? Please provide detailed explanation and how to mitigate the risks due to this.
The reason for this query is to find the ways to avoid possible misuse, also to have something to use as a proof for any future issues. In these cases can we backdate the ink to prove the paper was signed during particular period of time?
Thanks

Thanks for the details. I appreciate the help @Ajay, Ashish and Shubham. I have sent a complain/ email to LIC Manager with required details.
@Ashish, It was NOT a stamp paper but a blank paper which we signed and gave it to him to complete the pending formalities due to rush at the last moment.
I will also go ahead and request copy of documents.
