• Changing Father's Name and Mother's Name in all documents

Hi,
I am from Uttar Pradesh .My Father's name and Mother's Name are entirely different (like a different person) in my certificates and IDs till post graduation. They have different names in their documents. How Can I change my fathers name and mothers name to the original one in all the certificates. I have done 10th and 12th in 2004 and 2007 from Cbse. Graduation from Uptu and post graduation in 2012 and 2016. I am having a document verification of a PSB in 40 days. And I need signature and their IDs for this purpose.
How can I proove I am their son.
Is there any solution for this problem.

CBSE has a policy of making corrections within one year and now you have delayed for 10 years. The names in certificate can not be corrected now, the only option left is for you to declare by publishing in newspaper and gazzatte of India along with an affidavit of this effect.

Hello,

There is no way that the name can now be changed in the marksheets?

You should have taken measures back in 2004 only.

Get a same name affidavit and a declaration from your father to this effect.

They can just give a declaration on an affidavit before a first class magistrate.

Get an affidavit prepared from an advocate and thereafter get the publication done

Hi

The main documents are the board certificates and marksheet where you can't change the name at this stage because of long time duration. At this stage, affidavit and gadget notification may solve the purpose

Best solution is to obtain courts  order for change of name of parents to reflect correct name

2) change of name by publication in official gazette would not serve the purpose

1. You shall have to execute an affidavit before rhe 1st Class Judicial Magistrate affirming that the names of your parents have been wrongly mentioned in all your documents and IDS as such and such which are required to be changed as such and such and all concerned are required to incorporate the said change.

2. After the above affidavit is affirmed, you can wrtie to all the persons who issued you the dosuments and ID for incorporating the change of the name of your parents enclosing the copy of the said affidavit.

The right procedure is getting a notice published in a local News Paper, regarding your intention to change your name/or add surname to it, and subsequently get it published in Gazette of India.

These days Gazette prints have been discontinued, so you may have to check with concerned press in your city, if they still print the Gazette Notification, or it is given to you in soft copy

You cannot change the names of your parents in all your certificates or documents.

You can prepare an affidavit stating that the names appear in various documents and varying from each other belong to one and the same persons and they are known by such names also.

Get this affidavit notarised and also get the same published in  a local newspaper as a pubic notice to authenticate your statement, keep the copies with your certificates and produce them at the time of interview and explain the situation to their satisfaction.

Your parents need not change their names at this stage.

They may just give an affidavit stating that both the names are one and the same and they are being known by both the names.

This affidavit along with a public notice in a local newspaper should suffice your requirement.

You can consult a local experienced advocate on further issues.
