1) Before he fights with you and later on complaint against you. Why you are waiting for , kindly do honour and go in police station give NC against him for threatening and harrassing you.

You should give a written complaint to the police against the offender for the offence of criminal breach of trust, blackmailing and extortion.

Also, mention that the other person is threatening to file false cases against you for no apparent reason and to take action against you.

A suit for injunction can also be filed in order to restrain him from disturbing your peaceful possession. After getting injunction order from court if he disturbs you in any manner whatsoever you can file an application for contempt of court and offender would be punished accordingly.

You need not bother.  First option is you can file a case against him before he files using same words as he used thus saying blackmailing and try to extract money.  Second option is let him file, when filed you can get anticipatory bail and get a stay on such FIR.
