Ex Parte Divorce
My ex husband got an ex parte divorce decree from me in our divorce a year back as I did not attend the same because of they playing dirty and my new job constraints. I would like to have a copy of the divorce decree for my records. How can i obtain the same and also ensure that he does not come to know about it. He had filed from Amritsar.

All the responses i recieved earlier was regarding me filing and getting exparte divorce. It was him who got the same. I do not have a lawyer in Amritsar nor do I know anybody. How do i go further. Do i need a lawyer from Amritsar only or can I use a Maharashtra based lawyer to obtain the divorce papers

you need to contact lawyer in Amritsar . he will have to take search of records apply for certified copy of your divorce decree

Hi, you to file petition for setting aside ex-parte divorce.......you can contact local advocate.
Do i have to be present for all this formalities. Can somebody suggest me a good advocate in Amritsar. How longs this process takes. I have the summons copy sent and no other document. will that be enough for the applying.

your lawyer will be able to find date of passing of exparte decree of divorce from court records you can apply for certified copy of order
. it takes around a month . summons copy would be mentioning case number and other details . you can on said basis make application for certified copy of order .

You do not have to be personally present to complete the process as your lawyer can do this. It may take around a month.
