Dear Sir, I have applied for ICICI bank credit card in 2006. However, when credit card arrived, I was outside for my training for 3 months. When I return to my surprise I have received two statements of ICICI Lombard insurance which was given by ICICI Bank add addon service on monthly EMI. One with correct name and other with wrong name. I complaint the same with ICICI representative he requested me to pay only for policy with correct name and ignore the policy with the wrong name which he agree to cancel. Again in next month I have received to statement one along with fine for non payment for statement with wrong name. And monthly statement for correct name. I inform the ICICI bank that I have still not received any credit card they confirm that the credit card is not delivered and bank for security reason block the credit cards. due to this frustration I have requested the concerned person to cancel all my credit cards and close my account. But till date the ICICI bank has kept the other account alive spoiling my CIBIL score. Now I want to file a suit against ICICI bank for harrassment as most of the mic applications got rejected due to poor CIBIL score. do the amount is very low of 10,000 Steel I want to teach a lesson to ICICI Bank. What type of action can I take against ICICI Bank. The concern person called me for settlement in 5,000. But I refused for settlement. I have never received credit card from ICICI Bank.
Complain to bank ombudsman against Icici bank
2) if no action is taken file complaint against bank before consumer forum and seek orders to direct bank to waive the outstanding dues and to inform CIBIL
3) also seek compensation for mental torture undergone by you
Send them a legal notice calling upon them to set the things right.
In case they fail to do the needful despite the legal notice, approach the consumer forum and file a complaint against ICICI Bank in the present matter.
Sir file a complaint before the consumer court for deficiency of services and malpractice seeking compensation for mental harassment and the legal fee. Since there is delay in filing complaint from your side from cause you need to file complaint along with the condonation of delay application.
Further you can also complaint before the banking ombudsman for this kind of deficiency of the ICICI bank.
If the actions of the bank as it appears is not justified then the same amounts to deficiency of service.
For this you will have to file a case before the consumer forum wherein for the loss caused to you , the forum can grant you enough damages and compensation.
However since the settlement money is less you can proceed to make that payment.

You can file a suit and claim compensation for mentally harassment and also social harassment due to low score.
You can file a case against the ICICI bank before the consumer forum for this unfair trade practice and deficiency in service.
You can seek compensation for mental agony you suffered due to this all these days.
Howeverthis pertains to way back 12 years ago, if you had not initiated the follow up action within two years from this date then you may not be able to file a consumer case also.
You can file a civil suit also for damages due to the mental harassment they have created and for the fiscal losses you suffered
This would be besides the consumer case
However please ensure that you are not barred by limitation for initiating any legal action against the bank
Uninor to go for any settlement with ICICI instead you have to file a complaint in the state consumer dispute redressal Commission the compensation of rupees 20 lacs along with the legal charges for the harrassment.
Increase your complaint is accepted by the state Commission then it will be good and the ICICI bank will appear for the case and definitely they will push for settlement and thenthen you may put your terms.
In case your complaint petition is not accepted by the state commission and dismissed then you can complaint in the district consumer forum along with the compensation and legal charges.
In any case where ever is your complaint accepted ICICI bank will definitely approach you for settlement.

2. Did you not send a legal notice uptill now?
3. You would have taken some measures by now?
4. You can approach the consumer court but you will have to explain the delay;
5. Similarly you can file a suit but you will have to condone the delay;
6. Consult a local lawyer and take steps.
