You can file a police complaint in the cyber cell and police will investigation find out the girl.

Along with the police complaint you have the option to go for the defamation complaint under section 500 of IPC

You can first report with the FB itself as the FB itself can remove the offending comments and stop fake profile.

You can then lodge complaint with local cyber cell of police about the cyber crime and crime of impersonation.

Once the police registers FIR on it , you can see the result soon.

Hello,

Approach the cyber cell at the earliest and lodge the complaint. Alongwith the crime committed under the IT act the person will also be charged with defamation

There are several legal remedies which you can avail in order to get this off the internet as well as get the person behind this act sanctioned. What do you want to do exactly? get this off the internet or what to get the person behind this in trouble for doing what is not legal ?

First of all ascertain that if the sender was a genuine person and collect his details through facebook or you can approach the local cyber crime police with the evidence and a complaint against the perpetrator.

They will contact the service provider and collect the details of the person who posted the message and may initiate legal action but before that confirm that if the message has any truth in it.

From your subsequent post it appears that it is for your brother that you are seeking the clarifications.

Your brother seems to be involved in an affari with a girl named Sidhi and her sister has posted this message, hence on your complaint with the cyber police, it may even backfire and your brother may be in trouble, hence take cautious steps in this regard so that you dont land up in trouble.

Talk to that person who posted this mesage or block their contact from all the social media and ignore them or explain before police the whole story and seek their guidance for registering the complaint.

  1. As per the information mentioned in the present query, makes it clear that this is the character assassination of your brother for sure.
  2. Even if someone does something wrong then there is a law to take action against that wrong doer, but no body like this can assassinate someone’s character in the public forum.
  3. I advice you to file a cyber criminal case as soon as possible against that girl/ unknown who has done this.
  4. Plus, file a defamation case and demand for heavy compensation for this act.

these kind of cases are very common nowadays,

you can

  • report to the facebook from 2 to 3 accounts
  • go to the police website and lodge a cyber FIR on the net. After lodging the online FIR post the copy on the same page and reply to the post.
  • Also, mention that police has lodged our FIR now whoever has done this will be caught. Police track the IP Address.

this way you will get the trust of your friends and family back and whoever has done this will be under pressure and will soon come out

You need to post some comments and posts to counter that Post and lodge the FIR and upload the copy. Else the police will look into it.

In FIR do mention that your dignity is also hurt as well as my brother is hurt after seeing this.
