3 days pre arrest notice
how does police count 3 days in case of 3 days pre arrest notice for offence under 498A/406 IPC. that is they count excactly 72 hours from time of service of pre arrest notice or they just count 3 days,eg if some body is given 3 days arrest on 25march at 6.00pm .3 days will be taken as 25-26,26-27,27-28 6pm or they will count as 25,26,27,kindly advise

3 Days from the date of service of summons
The clock starts ticking when the notice is served.
Dear Querist
if the notice bail is grant for three days then days will be count not hour, as if the notice received on 25 th march then 25-26-27 and 28th will be the day when they can take arrest.
