• Gift deed from husband to wife

Me and my husband having a flat at joined name. Now he wants to transfer this flat only on my name. So what will be the procedure. 

If he do the gift deed, how much will total charges? and how much time it will take for final steps

Hi, he can make a gift deed in your favour .. There is very minimal stamp duty on gift deed .. The gift deed can be executed on the same day after preparing the documents at the registrar office

Stamp duty and Registration fee varies from State to State. In Maharashtra, the gift deed would attract Rs. 200 as stamp duty. Registration Fee would be within 500.

There will be no stamp duty except Rs. 500/- towards stamp duty and Rs. 200/- for registration charges towards transfer of property within relations.

its showing 3% of Market value. Is this applicable?

The proposed hike on stamp duty was withdrawn or revoked by the government on the face of opposition within the cabinet and opposite parties.
