you will have to contact a local lawyer for the same, an application will have to be filed for the same in the court.

succession certificate is only for movable debts and securities

2) you have to apply in HC or district court having jurisdiction

3) enclose death certificate

4) mention details of bank accounts , fixed deposits , shares , mutual funds etc in respect of which SC i s applied for

5) pay court fees

6) it takes around 6 month for issue of SC

1. A petition for grant of Succession Certificate is required to be filed in the competent court. Stamp fees is required to be paid at the percentage prevalent in that state. Stamp papers are purchased from state treasury.

2. The Court will issue notice and order you to publish the property details along with summons in a newspaper to invite objections. If objections are filed by anyone then it will be disposed, else the certificate in favour of the petitioner will be issued.

3. The entire process takes around 6-8 months if no objections are filed.
