Hello,

1) You can request the Sub Registrar to visit your home to process the registration of the POA . You need to pay a prescribed fee additionally.

2) Provide a copy of the document to be registered and proof of immobility of your mother in support of your request to the Registrar for a home visit.

There is a provision in law for the registrar to visit the residence of such aged people for doing the registration at the place where the person is lying in the bed and incapable of moving out.

A sub-registrar can verify and register agreements at the residences of buyers/sellers if they are on the death bed or are physically unfit to travel to the registration office.

Individuals wanting to avail the facility must now submit an application stating the reasons, along with medical proof to the sub-registrar. A recent photograph should be attached with the application.

If satisfied with the reason, the sub-registrar will interview the owner and documents to ascertain if details of the agreement are clear. The sub-registrar's queries will be based on a list in which he will check if the buyers/sellers are aware of the nature of the deed being signed.
