Recovery agent for the loan taken by my husband's sister
Hi, My husband's sister and her husband have taken loan from bank which they are unable to settle. They have received legal notice and have replied to bank. They are in discussion with bank on the same with required legal assistance. These recovery agents are harassing us for their contact details. We have the same number as they have. They have infact visited their residence too . Here they are continuously harassing my husband, my father in law and myself . They are continuously calling on my residence Landline and are threatening us. Why are they penalising us for someone else's non payment. They never stayed with us. Infact they called my old friend tracing for my husband and myself. Why are we been stalked? Why can't bank update their agents? I am getting calls on my office Landline number. When I asked for agent's name; agency name and number, he refused. He used filthy language too. Why are we tortured and harassed ? We are getting calls from following numbers 889909925 and [deleted]. Proceed to lodge a formal complaint against the bank and its recovery agents for constantly harassing you, despite knowing fully well that you are not the borrowers nor the defaulters of the loan.
Approach the jurisdictional police station and give a written complaint along with your husband regarding the constant harassment you have been subjected to from the bank and its recovery agents along with the phone numbers from which you are constantly being harassed, request the police to intervene and stop the harassment immediately.
Once you have the acknowledgement from the police send a legal notice to the bank telling them very clearly to stop the calls or face stricter criminal action against them and their agents.
this should stop the bank and the agents from troubling you any further
Repayment of loan is a personal liability of the borrower, which cannot be shifted to their relatives. You and your husband should go to the nearest police station to file a complaint for criminal intimidation against the recovery agents and bank under section 506 IPC.
Hi, Recovery agents are calling as there are dues but they can not talk to anybody apart from customer. And, they do not have any right to harass customer, friends, relations ... etc., If they do so then it is violation. You need hire a lawyer to file criminal complaint against this harassment else it will lead you to big trouble. You may produce call recordings as evidence along with your complaint.

If you are getting calls from from unknown people who are not knowingly threatening despite aware that you are no where concerned with this, it means they are trying to put pressure on you so that you will in-turn pressurise them for an early settlement.
You may lodge a criminal complaint against the callers and also the bank for this Illegal activities and threats.
