Elderly abuse

My nanny (maternal grandmother) is being abused by one of her sons, his wife and their two adult (18+) children. They are physically beating her, threatening to kill her and verbally abusing her daily, to force her into handing over her property and money. She is physically very weak now because of them and emotionally she is very upset. She has been to the police twice now, the police arrested them but they begged the police and were let go without charge. My nanny has x rays and MRI scans showing her injuries. The stolen Fixed Deposit paperwork was never recovered. She lives in Rupnagar, Punjab (near chandigarh). I know she can get an injunction, but on what grounds do I apply for one and where do I apply? Is there anything else I can do for her legally? What other options do we have? She is no longer safe in her own home. Unfortunately abuse of the elderly is very widespread in India and its not really considered a crime until it reaches murder. The elderly are just expected to hand over their assets regardless of how their sons treat them. I hope you can help me fight for my nanny. Thank you in advance.
