Regarding Holding Occupancy Rights of Tenants in Cantonment Area

My grandfather started a shop as a tenant in 1950 in Cantonment Area and my family is running the said business till date. The Landlord sold the Old Grant property (only the superstructure; lands belongs to Central Government Ministry Of Defence) to one of the neighbor tenant in 2018 via Sale Deed. The Sale Deed has mention of the various tenants and rent fixed per month. The rents were frozen at nominal rates due to Maharashtra Rent Control Act. It also mentions - "and WHEREAS the said VENDORS have agreed to sell, transfer and the said PURCHASER have agreed to purchase the Occupancy Rights of the aforesaid mentioned old grant property along with superstructure standing thereon with tenants as per the Rules and Regulations of the Cantonment Act, 2006 (as amended)" Could the Legal Advisors please help me understand the below points: 1. Implication and meaning of "occupancy rights of superstructure standing thereon with tenants" - the Tenants clause is incomprehensible. 2. Rights of my father as a tenant since last 70+ years. The landlord has indicated to evict all the tenants without any compensation by sheer political influence in the locality. 3. Can we claim compensation and damage charges to our business and shop due to illegal eviction? What does the courts have to say on such matters? The new landlord claims to have a bonafide reason to evict in order for his sons to start new business. Kindly advice.
