Can an unregistered marriage (no legal marriage certificate) get an annulment?

Hello everyone, My name is Adi, I live in uk since last 3 year. I got married in September last year with an indian girl. It was an arrange marriage. Initial 2 months of the marriage were good cause we both were getting to know each other and wanted to take things slow. Our marriage is not consummated yet because she said she need some time. We did not legally registered our marriage. Now after 6 months we both have realised that we have nothing in common and we are not compatible with each other. Also another reason is, she haven’t moved on from her past relationships. Although she mentioned to me about it before marriage but I thought eventually things will fall into places but now I do not see any hope and I want to end this torture which we both are going through. We also have family/society pressure To make it work. But now I do not want to continue. I want to end it. Since we haven’t registered our marriage, can I apply for annulment to preserve my “single” and “not married” status ? P.S: I do not want to involve any of her family or my family into this anullment, cause they do not know the struggles they only want us to make it work to keep they “izzat” in society. -What is the process of annulment, do both parties have to agree to it ? -Can I file for an annulment on the ground of “forced marriage” on her side. Do her parents or herself have to give a statement in the court ? Cause I do not see any other ground of anullment currently. Thank you and Regards Adi
