Signature on documents of ancestral property

My paternal family consists of 4 females and 3 males including my father. My father and one uncle passed away. So only 1 uncle and the 4 aunts are alive from the larger family. I have a brother and sister both younger to me. Grand father bequeathed a land of 3 plus acres in their village in Kerala to my father and 2 uncles. My father prepared a will and gave the major portion of his share he got from his father to by brother and another portion to my sister. Nothing to me in that plot (my father has said the city property is for me). All this will become ours only after my mother's death. My uncle who passed away has willed and perhaps registered his portion in his two sons' names. My other uncle who is alive has already portioned his land and gave to his two sons. My 4 aunts are settled in their own places and all in the age group of 70 plus. Now an issue has come up that the my aunts have to relinquish their rights on the property if my cousins including my siblings have to get building permits or bank loans etc. for their portions. i am working in the Middle East since 20 years and no one says what happens there. They are asking me to go and sign / imprint my finger print in the document that aunts are relinquishing their rights and also another document to modify an internal road. My question is since I do not have even a grain of sand in that property and is it mandatory for me to be a party for these transaction ( take leave from work, spend money, fly to India and sign the documents)? Thanks in advance Keeping name confidential
