Illegal sale deed of ancestral agricultural land

Hi. The land in question belongs to my grandfather (who died around 30 yrs back in an accident). He had married twice and my family comes from his second wife. Before his death, he had made an informal distribution of agricultural lands (which has been the family tradition since forever). Please also note that grandfather himself inherited the land from his forefathers (he did not buy any land personally). The family of his first wife stay in the village while we moved to a nearby city for education and employment. In the absence of our regular visits, the first wife’s family has illegally forged a fake will and show it as a proof of land division (this was 15 yrs back). My father initiated a case against this and one of their family member was arrested and later bailed. However due to various circumstances (most likely corrupt lawyer), the lawyer did not visit on court dates and thus the case was dropped after two years. We were facing difficulties of our own and this was not a pressing matter for that moment. A fresh case was registered four years back but the district civil court has not admitted/restored the case yet.. we’re following on that. The issue is while we are waiting for the case to be restored, the other part is still forging fake sale deed for land in our share and in selling it (last sale was done this month). This is a worrying trend since we may not be left with any land. My question is what can be done to stop the sale of the land? We tried complaining to the circle officer but we don’t have confidence in that (due to existing level of corruption and the local reach of that other family). Is there any interim steps to be taken before the case gets restored. Thanks and Regards
