Second Nikah Vs Special Marriage Act 1954

Hello Sir / Madam, I'm a Sunni Muslim man. In 2018, I got married as per Muslim customs & rituals to a Sunni Muslim woman. Later for my spouse's US visa I had to register our Nikah. I was misguided & unknowingly I registered our Nikah under the Special Marriage Act 1954 (SMA). However, since 2020 my spouse & I are not residing together & my spouse has filed several false & frivolous cases against me & my family. It's been 3 years since I have been fighting these cases & defending myself in the court of law. We are not yet divorced. I wanted to check if I have the provision to perform a second Nikah with another Muslim woman only as per Muslim marriage customs. I will not register the second Nikah as I'm already registered under the SMA from the first marriage & not yet divorced. But I want to know if there is any provision that allows me to do a second Nikah because these false cases against me will take a very long time to end. It's already been 3 years that I've been suffering for no fault of mine & not sure how much more long I'll have to wait. Please suggest as aim in need of your valuable & helpful advice.
