Can a company force an employee to work for entire notice period regardless of notice period buy-out

I noticed that the agreement that I signed up with one of the organization says unilaterally that company can terminate me by either giving me a notice period of 3 months OR by paying me salary and eligible benefits for 3 months.. HOWEVER, if I chose to join any other organization, I will have to serve entire 3 months' notice period, which cannot be reduced even if I am willing to pay the same amount to my company and cannot be adjusted against the notice period It also means that even if i stay for certain duration for a smooth handover of responsibility to minimise any business impact, even than remaining notice period will have to be served. I am not well-versed with law, but I feel this contract is not demonstrating reciprocity It also, in a way, implies that a company can force people to work against their wish, even if they wish to get rid by monitory settlement - isnt this agreement itself null and void in the first place This agreement is promoting blue collar slavery In case an employee has singed it, even than, can a company force an employee against their wish - what does companies act says about it
