Judicial Custody Absconding - Company not providing experience letter

Hi, Because of some unfortunate circumstances I was detained and put into judicial custody - and I stayed in JC for 130 days - during this period I was absent from office and because of that the company terminated me stating I was absconding. During my detention my office laptop was also seized along with my personal laptop mobile etc etc. On being release from JC I informed my employer and on their request completed all the exit formalities and submitted all assets except my office laptop. The company is not providing me with either a relieving letter or an experience letter - I have explicitly told them about my situation and suggested they can keep the money that I am supposed to get from them as collateral and/or take a legal undertaking but the company is not budging - my case is in fast track court and still havent had a single hearing in the last 1 year. I am getting offer letter and still not able to join other companies because of lack of experience letter - if I dont mention the company then its like omitting 4 years of work experience along with my designation. I am clueless as well as helpless - can anyone provide me a suitable alternative.
