Land lease issue with govt petroleum company.

My family owns a land and leased it to govt petroleum company. We were also the dealer. Everything was smooth for 50+ years (since 1956). In 2013 the lease agreement expired. Also, we didn't renew the dealership roughly a year after that. The Pump has stopped functioning since 2014. After several requests from the company we didn't oblige their request to continue the dealership. We want them to evict the place. Now they are threatening to cancel our dealership and take "necessary actions". What they are saying is they'll cancel our dealership and give it to someone else and continue running the petrol pump without our permission. My concerns are as follows: 1. Is that even possible? I repeat, the lease agreement is over. Can they simply handover a new dealership to someone else and run the petrol pump with out a valid lease agreement without my families permission? 2. Is there anything else they can threaten me with? 3. Should I be taking a precautionary necessary steps? PS: I'm asking this here (and not to a local lawyer nearby) because most of the lawyers I know are not interested in solving my issue (my father says so), but to take up a case and drag this along. If I can understand the situation properly and know my rights I'll definitely hire one.
