Adverse Possession

I have a shop in village which was rented around 50-60 years before to a person. There is no rent agreement as it is rented out in Goodwill. After death of that person his son is taking care of shop. The rent he pays is RS. 700. Legally my father was owner of the shop but he expired in September,2016 and now me, my mother and my sister are legal owners of this shop. The ownership was transferred to our names in December,2016. Now we want the person to leave the shop as I want to start some business in the property.I have not asked that person yet but there are high chances that he will not agree even though he has other shops near by where he can shift his business. Question: 1.) Can i claim my shop legally from him as they have been doing business from that shop from past 50 years. 2.) I read that tenant can claim adverse possession after 12 years of possession of the property. Is it true in my case as legal ownership was changed just 3 years back. 3.) What are the chances that I win the case if tenant doesn't agree to leave the shop.
