Rectification deed stamp duty regarding change in survey no.

Dear sirs, I have purchased a house in a township built by a builder in 2010 with land registration done at Cuddalore Sub-Register office, Tamil Nadu where in our house land survey no. was wrongly entered and registered. Real survey no is known to be the adjacent RS .No to the survey no. entered in the document. All other details are same. We come to know now only. There many nearby houses also have been registered by wrong survey numbers. While few corrected their survey numbers with Sub-Regiser offices by paying full stamp duty as if they are registering fresh. Just to correct a small mistake, a survey number wrongly entered when they copied from their earlier registered format, I doubt it. Please guide how to approch the problem. Should we contact Sub-Register office about their guidelines and then collector for any of his office assistance incase sub register asks full stamp duty?. Please advise. If there is any judgement by court to make this matter clear, please share the link as well. Thank you.
