Sir, I was doing a contract in Sonipat Haryana in 2013 where I had purchased domestic goods on instalments through my landlord and have issued a security cheque of Rs 2 lacs which was unnamed and undated. I have cleared the due amount through monthly RTGS to my landlords account by the year 2015. My contract was finished in 2014 and I had to shift to Uttarakhand in 2014.Suddenly in April 2018 I recd a non bailable warrants as the landlord has endorsed his name and date on the cheque and presented it to the bank which bounced. I have taken bail and undergoing trial in Magistrate court in Sonipat. I have prooved through his bank that he has received a sum of Rs 2 lacs from me but my landlord replied that earlier also he had given interest free loan of 1.5 lacs but somehow could not give a satisfactory reply as to why he had received Rs 2 lacs from me and now he claims he has given me a fresh loan in the year 2016 against which I have given him the cheque. The trial is on what are the best remedy for me. Please advice.
