Abnormally Stringent Rules of Housing Society

I am a tenant living in a Society with 400 apartments. The society byelaws does not allow any workers from outside to carry out any repair activities or do not allow shifting in and out of the society on Sundays. As I live alone and do not have leave on weekdays and Saturday, I can only carry out such activities on Sunday. But the society is not allowing any deviation. The reason cited in byelaws is that on Sundays the ladies and kids in the society roam and play around in the society and they feel insecure in the presence of outsiders (exception is given to registered maids and delivery agents of amazon swiggy etc). The society president is claiming that he didn't took deviation even when his mother was not well. He himslef had to carry something (not sure his mother or something else) as outsiders not allowed on Sunday. I want to know whether it is justified, as I now have to carry out the same activity on a weekday with a loss of pay. Does the law allow the society to be supreme and make any laws as per their convenience. Can somebody help in this case so that I can deal with this issue in an appropriate manner.
