Divorced in Australia

Sirs My daughter is an Indian National and she married a Singaporean in the year 2014. The marriage was held in Chennai as per religious rituals and also subsequently legalised by Registering the same. Since the boy is from Singapore the marriage was registered in Singapore as well. Subsequently both moved to Brisbane in Australia and lived for 2 years together after which they decided to separate and applied for divorce there which went through and they were pronounced separated by the Australian Law. Now my question is: 1. Is this valid elsewhere in the world- especially how is it in INdia and Singapore? 2. Her maiden name was not changed in her Passport or bank accounts. So it continued to be her erstwhile name - before marriage. 3. We need to collect her jewelleries which are in the custody of her in-laws in Singapore, who have no problem in us coming and taking it back. My question here is will we be able to carry it back to India under declaration of divorce and bringing back home the jewellaries - this is for customs department so that we don't end up paying duty for the jewelaries given during marriage. 4. How this declaration should be? Should the divorce be registered with Indian Embassy in Australia? Please awaiting a response for these. Thanking you in advance Vaidehi Devadhirajan (Mother)
