Minimum wages for new category

I would like to bring out this suggestion to my management recruiting any new staff under “Skilled Category”; I would like us to have this staff onboard as under # We recruit him under “Semi-skilled” category # We place him on probation of 6 months # Successful completion of probation period we confirm his services and raise him from Semi-Skilled to Skilled Category. By doing this we make sure that we keep him motivated during the probation time with a reason to perform good and in event of successful completion of his/her probation we confirm him with a rise in his salary which would be a boost for him and we would also make sure that we are within our budget and MW act as per labor Dept. For eg. at the time of joining we have to keep their position as “Trainee – Passenger Service Agent” so we can keep them under Semi-skilled category and after successful completion of probation period can be promoted to “Passenger Service Agent” with the skilled category. Can you please advice if we can proceed with this. Thank you. Manish
